ABS Plastic is tough and non-shattering, making it an inexpensive alternative to Polycarbonate (Lexan/Makrolon). It offers endless possibilities in your robot design and is easy to work with. Sheets can be cut easily (even tin snips work well for small pieces) and can be cold-bent or heated and bent.
Black color, front has a Haircell pattern, and the back is smooth. EasyRuler grid pattern protective film lets you measure and mark directly on the sheet, then peel off the film when done. Length and width dimensions are cut to a tolerance of ± 1/8".
VEX Competition Legality
For V5RC teams, rule R25 permits 12 pieces per robot with a maximum size of 4"x8"x.070" per piece. If ordering an option larger than the 4" x 8" 12 pack, it must be cut to competition-legal pieces. This 1/16" thick sheet is the maximum standard thickness that is legal in the VEX Robotics Competition.
