Nylon screws and nuts are a great addition to any robot. Weighing about 1/6 the weight of steel screws, nylon fasteners allow you to save weight for a more efficient robot, yet are strong enough for many areas. Nylon nuts have a 8-32 thread size and are 11/32" wide, which is fully compatible with all VEX EDR® parts and can be used with the same nut tools.
Legal for use on competition robots: Rule R11 permits certain screws, nuts, washers, and spacers.

Lightweight yet Strong
Nylon hardware has about one sixth the weight of steel hardware, which can shave multiple pounds off the weight of a robot. Despite their weight, they're still surprisingly strong. Even though high stress points will still need steel screws, many areas on a robot are suitable for nylon screws.
Fully Compatible
With a 8-32 thread size and 11/32" overall width, our nylon nuts can be used with all other 8-32 nylon screws we offer and VEX EDR® hardware.
No Special Tools Needed
Our nylon nuts are the same size as VEX EDR® nuts, meaning you can use the same tools you currently have. Any of our nut tools are compatible with both nylon and VEX EDR® nuts.
